Which cell phone has the best reception for Alltel wireless service?
I’m shopping for a new phone for Alltel service, because my reception is terrible and my phone is old. I am thinking about the Kyocera Stobe. Are there other camera phones have great reception? What about the Kyocera KX12 (ok, not a camera phone, but looks rugged, & I’m clumsy lol). I guess I really want to know which phone has the best reception.

I just got the strobe, LOVE IT! I live in the middle of freakin nowhere and get excellent reception. Five bars all the time. 
My bf just got the Kyocera Candid, and does’nt get as good reception as I do.

Which nokia cell phone has the best reception on cingular?
I live in Michigan and travel all over the state, and used to get great reception with my old nokia. I switched to the 6061 and get really crappy reception and lose signal all the time. I am looking for the nokia phone that gets the best reception, don’t need ANY bells or whistles, just a phone. I don’t want to switch to another brand of phone, my friends and family have motorola, lg, and samsung, and I still get better signal in remote places, but not in town, with my crappy phone. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Nokia 9300 gets the best reception so a friend told me who works for Cingular because I was thinking about switching from Nextel to Cingular!

I have worked in the industry for years – both at the top and bottom – the best service provider depends on where u live. All phones have same amount of wattage so none have more ‘power’ than any other. The type of phone is a different story – reliability in my experience is nokia – they have the best lowest ratio of repair by far.
But to answer your question, what is a good choice in cell phone? That really depends on who your cell phone carrier is because different carriers offer different phones. If available, I would chose the most basic Nokia. If not, chose something easy for you to operate and make sure you have an easy exchange policy that you are very clear on. In addition be sure you are clear on the warranty policy and add the additional insurance if it appears reasonable.

I live in Grand Junction CO and need a new cell phone company. Since I’ll have a 2 year contract, I want to make sure I’m with a good company.

Depending on where you will travel. Cricket or verizon. I snow board al ot so I travel all over CO. But ilive in CA so I always use my friends cell. You can check out the map coverage on whichover phone you are considering.

Sprint network is hand’s down so far. After 7 p.m. (New York time)long distance is free. Reception in certain areas is so clear. Then again…the network is only as good as the PHONE you plan to buy.

Best way to improve basement cell phone reception?
I like to text while in the basement, but cannot always get service. When I hold my phone up to the window wells, as my basement is fully underground, I can get a lot better reception. With this information, is there anything i can do to improve the reception in the basement?

There is none. In your basement you are the farthest away from any type of reception b/c you are underground. Just like if you ride the train which goes underground you won’t get service until you come from the station. Any product that says they can enhance your service in the basement is probably a scam.
